we are growing some giant pumpkins this year....next year, i think we will go to farmer brown's on hwy 50 and get some vegetable plants so that we can have a REAL garden ( gary doesnt know that yet hehe :)

here is a photograph of my goosey.....
he is the third from the left.....i found him as a wee baby, his poor little foot was warpped tightly in fishing line (left behind by some thoughtless fisherman) i scampered into the house and grabbed my scissors (leaving my glasses on the counter ) i snipped him free ( he was frightened nearly to death and his family was really raising a ruckus!!!) now, he is a young goose and quite lame :*( his little foot never grew and i shudder silently when i see him with the rest of the geese. my friend , roni helped me feel better about his plight.....i am greatful to her, although i still feel sad when i see him...... |
this is our "mystery tree" by the driveway and fairyland......gary built the most enchanting bench around it. and then i came home from work one day, and it was gone!!! he said it wobbled.... :*(

when gary is on call on the weekends we go in the middle of the night to tow d.u.i.'s and accidents off to the "lock up" (lockup is a secret place that not many people know about!) we have fun ( gary maybe doesnt but i do) we giggle alot and bounce around in the truck late at night. last winter, we had a "call" to pick up a car from behind a restaurant in antioch. ( 2 people were doing the horizantal mambo in it ) the bars were just letting out and a group of kids were walking to the restaurant for breakfast when i heard one of them say: now i know what santa does the rest of the year!!! everyone laughed including me. |
